Secrets of Home Theater and High Fidelity have recently launched a new section on their website entitled 'Recommended Gear'. This is an annually updated list of equipment that's been reviewed by their team and identified as exceptional enough to be formally recommended to readers.
We are pleased that two of Rotel's amplifiers have been featured in this inaugural award listing!
The list is broken down into 4 tiers: Essential, Superior, Reference, and Elite. Both Rotel amplifiers have won the award in the Superior Tier.
The Michi X3 Integrated Amp has won the award in the 'Integrated Amplifiers / Stereo Receivers' category. Yongki Go reviewed the X3 and said,
"With second-to-none build quality and no-compromise sonic performance, the versatile Michi X3 integrated amplifier represents one of the best in its class far more than its price tag would suggest".
The RB-1590 Power Amp has won the award in the 'Power Amplifiers (2-channel)' category. Jim Milton reviewed the RB-1590 (along with the RC-1590 MKII) and said,
"The amp is a beast while the preamp delivered some of the sweetest stereo listening I’ve heard in some time... I am a big proponent of surround music, but the Rotel RC-1590 MkII and RB-1590 combo could easily seduce me back to the world of two-channel music again".
